CIOMPI FLEA MARKET

Piazza dei Ciompi Flea Market is open every day in a stable structure, closed on Sunday and Monday. On each last Sunday of the month the Market invades the streets around the square. You can find here old books, vintage clothes and jewels , antiquity, curiosities. 

Il Mercato delle Pulci di Piazza dei Ciompi è aperto tutti giorni   nella sua struttura stabile, chiuso domenica e lunedì. Ogni ultima domenica del mese il Mercato invade le strade intorno alla  piazza. Qui si possono trovare vecchi libri, abiti e gioielli vintage, antiquariato e oggetti curiosi.

I saw this beautiful birth tray from the collection of the  Museum of Palazzo Davanzati in the exhibition "Money and Beauty. Bankers, Botticelli and the Bonfire of the Vanities" now in  Palazzo Strozzi.

SCAFFOLD

The last three days began to mount a scaffold to restore the building in Piazza San Felice and unfortunately my atelier is no more visible and no more natural light for painting.

The Torre dei Mannelli is a small tower on the southeast corner of the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence. It was built to defend the bridge and in 1565, the Mannelli family refused to have it altered or demolished so that the Corridoio Vasariano could be built in a straight line. Instead the corridor swerved round it on brackets.Fonte Wikipedia

In 2004 I painted ​​these two cupboards for a hall on the top floor of the Tower. They are painted in tempera with natural glue and pure pigments.
